Yesterday, I had the honour of delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the Cross River State National Assembly Caucus at the official flag-off of the 65km, 3-lane dual carriageway, part of the landmark 750km Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway right here in Awi, Akamkpa LGA.

We wholeheartedly commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, ably represented by the Honourable Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, for this bold and visionary initiative. We also applaud our Governor, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu, for flagging off this transformative project that will greatly enhance our infrastructure, improve regional connectivity, and unlock new economic opportunities across the South-South.

With the presence of heavy equipment already on site, we are confident that the project will be executed promptly and to specification. As always, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that bring lasting development and progress to our people.
